Work and Grades
The bulk of the grades earned in my class will come from the assignments found in Canvas. Most of these assignments include a short video, a Powerpoint lecture (the same one I give in class for the benefit of those who need to refer to it at home, or who may have missed class that day), a 1-2 page reading related to the day's topic, and a short Google Form assessment based on that reading. Most grades in Power School will come from these Google Form assessments. There may be other graded assignments taken from in-class work. The semester project is an ongoing assignment that will culminate in presentations at the end of the semester before exams start. Late work will be accepted, but it loses a letter grade per day (that means that after five days the assignment is recorded as a failing grade).
All of that said, if a student just does the work (none of which should take more than 15-20 minutes to do) - even if they don't do particularly well on it - it will be almost impossible to fail my class!
